And here is the first of my “What Bug Is This” posts. Major props to John McGuire who knew that it was the Giant Leopard Moth.

It looks like Rick’s $1.99 Cleaners on Bee Caves Rd. has now changed their name to Rick’s $2.09 Cleaners. I wonder if they changed the corporate letterhead and web site too!

Here’s some music that caught my attention. Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings are coming to the Austin City Limits Festival!

I love the way they paid such attention to details in this song and video. I could easily be fooled into thinking it’s vintage stuff from the 1960’s. 

Sitting on my front porch. It was very big, about 4″, and as you can see, quite beautiful. Anybody know what this is? Please tell me!

I went to Art City Austin, and I’ve got to say it’s the best art fair I’ve ever been to. When we were deciding where to move, one of our requirements was ”cultural vitality”. And that’s why we’re in Austin.
